At MSP Medical, we’re always looking for ways to support our customers better and make their work easier. In response to a specific customer request, we developed something we’re genuinely excited about: an interactive product configurator that allows you to assemble your own Trippel chair. In just a few steps, you can create a complete configuration and submit it directly as a request for a quotation. From now on, there’s no need to check separate price lists, manually copy options, or go back and forth by email.
Why we built this configurator
We noticed that configuring a working chair can take a fair amount of time. You want to be sure you choose the right options, that the dimensions and controls are correct, and that we receive enough information to prepare an accurate quote straight away.
Because our working chairs offer a high level of customization, we wanted the process to be:
- structured logically, without overwhelming you with choices
- complete, so every available option can actually be selected
- more visual, so you can make the right choices faster
Choose your working chair color easily
A great example is the color selection. If you want a non-standard color, you immediately get a complete color chart to choose from. So you don’t have to look up any additional information yourself.
We’re also looking ahead. In a future version of the configurator, we plan to add product images for options as well, so you can see even more clearly what you’re selecting. That will make the process more intuitive and reduce the risk of mistakes.
Room for many options and additional customization
Alongside the standard options, the configurator also allows you to enter non-standard measurements easily, such as:
- seat width and seat depth backrest width and
- backrest height
These details are automatically included in your quote request.
The same applies to padding: you can indicate whether you want standard foam, memory foam, or even enter a custom request (for example, a specific foam quality for the backrest or seat). Simply select the option, add the details, and we’ll receive it clearly in your request.
At the bottom of the configurator, there’s also space for Custom modifications. If your request isn’t listed as a standard option, you can type it in. We’ll then check whether we can supply or implement it and include it in the quotation.
A working chair that’s ready to use immediately
Just as importantly, you can specify how the chair will be used right away for example, whether the brake lever should be on the left or right side. This allows us to deliver the chair exactly to your specifications. In other words: it’s ready to use straight out of the box for the end user, without a technical team having to adjust settings.
Immediate price indication with your configuration
The configurator also shows gross list prices, so you immediately get an indication of the total build-up. Most customers know their own discount agreements, which means you can usually estimate the final price in advance.
Good to know: some options depend on each other. In the current version, those dependencies are not yet calculated automatically. As a result, it may sometimes look as though two options are added in full, while in practice the total can be slightly lower once we finalize the quotation. We’ll take this into account in the final calculation.
